2. What data we collect and why
When you visit the website. Our web server automatically records technical information: your IP address, the date and time, the pages you open, the website you came from, and your browser and device type. We use this to deliver the website, keep it secure and detect misuse. (GDPR: legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f).)
When you subscribe to our newsletter. We collect your email address and, if you give it, your name. You will receive a confirmation email before you are added to the list. We use your address to send the newsletter you asked for, with poker event news, promotions and website updates. Our newsletter service may record whether a newsletter was opened and which links were clicked, so we can improve it. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every newsletter. (GDPR: consent, Art. 6(1)(a).)
When you contact us. If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you give it, and your message. We use them only to answer you. (GDPR: legitimate interest in answering your request, Art. 6(1)(f).)
We do not use your data for automated decisions or profiling, and we do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
3. Cookies and Google Analytics
Cookies are small files stored in your browser.
Necessary cookies make the website work, for example to remember your cookie choice or to protect forms against spam. They do not need your consent.
Statistics cookies (Google Analytics). With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC (USA), to understand how visitors use our website, for example which pages are popular and which countries visitors come from. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies and records information such as pages viewed, time spent, approximate location, and device and browser type. According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. Data is kept by Google for up to 14 months. We do not use Google Analytics to identify you personally. (GDPR: consent, Art. 6(1)(a).)
You can accept or refuse statistics cookies in our cookie banner and change your choice at any time. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s opt-out browser add-on from tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Content loaded from other services. To display fonts and the interactive event map, some pages load files from Google Fonts (Google), from Cloudflare’s content network (cdnjs) and from a map service. When this happens, your browser connects to their servers and they receive your IP address. (GDPR: legitimate interest in a working and well-presented website, Art. 6(1)(f).)
